INSTRUCTIONS TO PATIENTS

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

As you are aware, the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) situation nationally is rapidly evolving. Here at Primary Providers of Alabama to insure the ongoing safety of our patients and staff and to help reduce any possible spread of the virus are implementing the following protocols:

When you arrive for our appointment, upon entering the office we will be taking temperatures of all who enter with an infrared scanner thermometer. Anyone who has a fever will be asked to reschedule their appointment via phone.

After completing your check in at the front desk, you may wait in your car until it is time to be called back rather in our waiting room, and we will notify you via phone call when to come into the office for your appointment. Please advise the front desk if this is your preference.

We will continue to have hand sanitizer available at all desks and waiting areas for your convenience.

If you, your child or any of their siblings, in the last 72 hours has a fever or onset of illness (upper respiratory symptoms, cough, fever, or shortness of breath), we ask that you reschedule the appointment until they have been symptom free for no less than 72 hours, and/or the COVID-19 situation has stabilized and restrictive measures are no longer necessary.

We ask that you limit the persons attending your appointment to only those absolutely necessary for the care of the patient being seen.

As always, we will continue to implement Universal Precautions and Hospital-Grade Sterilization/Disinfection Protocols to protect our staff, patients,and families.

At PPOAL, we want to provide superior patient care in a safe, clean, comfortable environment, and we feel these measures will assist in assuring the safety of our patients and staff in this current situation.
